GAS CATALINA – Hose Handling Crane Maintenance
Challenge
The port-side crane showed severe vibration beyond its normal luffing range due to wear and play at the jib hinge. The starboard-side crane had low hydraulic pressure and a damaged return hose.
Result
The crane hydraulic pumps were serviced and replaced as required, and the systems underwent pressure and functional checks.
What we did
- Inspection and hydraulic maintenance of the 2-ton port-side and 4-ton starboard-side hose handling cranes onboard GAS CATALINA, including pump replacement, pressure checks and functional testing.
